So much useful information & fantastic, easy techniques to retrain our brains. I have so much more clarity & hope for my future now that I understand these principles. He uses clear concise language that is very easy for the lap person to understand. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to overcome bad habits & negative thinking. It specifically targets anxiety & stress too. Have read it twice & loved it.

Only on Chapter 2 as of now, but this book speaks to my depressive soul. I hope this book really does teach me things my incredible therapist hasn’t.I like how he incorporates research with life stories and metaphors. Nothing of this writing is bombarding and very easy to read... especially for readers who easily lose concentration.. ironic eh? I think there was a lot of thought put into this book.

Retraining the Brain: My husband read this book cover to cover while I was going through Chemo Therapy. He feels that it is a very informative book and has recommended it to others. It's helped him to understand some of the questions about how people think and why they do the things they do. I haven't read it yet, but intend to. He's convinced me to read. It's amazing, he says, how the brain functions.

The research behind retraining your brain is compelling. The author provides helpful information about to use the techniquies in your everyday life. This also helped me in understanding people with anxiety & how to help them in dealing with it.

I thought this book had a lot great information. I have read books on this subject before and this is one of the best. Anyone can do the breathing and other techniques the book has in it.

The book is fair. I saw it "advertised" on Dr. Phil (whose work I often doubt). I teach courses on rhetoric and happiness, and wanted to see whether Lawlis' book might be appropriate for my students. I still haven't decided. The science appears to be valid, but as with so many popularly targeted books on neurology and health, it is . . . "burdened" with a lot of stories. I like an occasional narrative to illustrate a point, but I think maybe Lawlis employs stories excessively.

The book was way too complicated not for your average person

So far so good book saw this book recommend by Dr. Phil and the book it self a paperback new good quality print is litter bigger so faster i can read thank uou
